There
is nothing so charming as small seaside communities dotted
along a shore that is home to the highest tides in the World.
Whale sightings to a walk with Longfellow/s famed Acadian
lover Evangeline at Grand Pre. Add historic dykelands, orchards

Cabot's
the name- John Cabot-the seafarer who first explored much
of Atlantic Canada and lent his name to the breathtaking
trail that is the pride of Nova Scotia's Cape Breton Island.
This adventure starts off and ends on the edge of Halifax's
bustling harbour. The next couple of days will find yourself
high in the heart of the highlands where there's room for
moose and whales to dance. Savor the fabulous Bras d'Or
Lakes (really more of an inland sea) and cruise along the
hairpin turns of the almost overwhelmingly beautiful Cabot
Trail.
Nova
Scotia's South Shore lighthouses signaled a safe landfall
to two and a half centuries of seafarers. And, in time,
they lent their name to the curving shore road along that
rugged coast: The Lighthouse Route. You'll travel just that
time-honoured trailway on this scenic package from Yarmouth
to Halifax Harbour and back, with stops for treasure lore,
shopping, and even spa-type self-indulgence along the way.
We'll give you odds that the experience will give new perspective
to the words "white sand beach."
There is a sense of magic and mystery to the shores of Nova
Scotia. When the mist is rising just right, you catch a
glimpse of a privateer ship off the coast, or spot a rum-runner
hiding a cask in the cove, or hear a lonely poper keening
from the hills, The lighthouses that once guided seafarers
safely on their way to the secrets of Oak Island, there's
a story to be heard and an adventure to be experienced on
these spectacular ocean swept shores.
The
highest tides in the world rise and fall in the Bay of Fundy.
That's 14 billion tonnes of water coming and going twice
a day! The unique roar of the tide is called the "voice
of the moon" and it accompanies a change in the water
level that's equal to a five story building. That means
you can take a raft ride on the Bay in the morning and walk
on the ocean floor in the evening. Incredible! Ride the
famous Tidal Bore and feel the "rapid rise and fall".
There is all kinds of adventure to be discovered in the
region that encompasses the remarkable Bay of Fundy.

the high-speed Cat to Canada and an impressive ferry ride
to the Rock. (You'll take in the beauty of Nova Scotia in-between).
The day's travel by car between Port aux Basques and Point
Norris introduces you to the ruggedness of theis ancient
land. Car games? Forget counting cows. He who spots the
most icebergs and whales in the bay or moose by the side
of the road, wins. Explore Gros Morne National Park-a UNESCO
World Heritage Site with miles and miles of hiking trails,
